I recommend this option because it offers a more rigid system which is especially important when mounting to fiberglass or carbon fiber instrument panels. Also, assembly mounts on the front (pilot side) of the panel and the flex arm screws into it - so the flex arm can be removed quickly and easily without the need to get behind the panel.
